About This Outpost
Lake Information
Part of the Canadian Grand Slam waters of Quebec featuring Northern Pike, Walleye, Lake Sturgeon, and Burbot with true trophy potential. Located roughly 130 kilometers (81 miles) southeast of James Bay, it is the largest lake along the Broadback River system. Lac Evans is highly irregular, defined by deep bays, narrow channels, and extensive lake arms. The surrounding landscape is largely low-lying subarctic boreal forest and wetland, though the southern edge features elevated terrain marked by the Reid and Middleton Mountains. It receives water from nearby Lake Le Gardeur to the east via the Théodat River and Lake Dana to the west.
